    International Women’s Day

    A woman is like a tea bag, you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water- Eleanor Roosevelt.

    As I look back, 2014 marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life. Fresh from completing my Ph.D. and a postdoctoral in the Republic of Korea, IK returned to Nepal filled with hope and enthusiasm for the journey ahead. Little did I know that the next 11 years would be the most challenging yet transformative period of my life- both professionally and personally.

    However, it was also the best learning period, it shaped me into the person I am today. Every women, whether mother, sister, or friend are equally important in life. Helping and empowering each other is the most beautiful feeling. It is often said behind every successful man there is supportive women and I must add that behind every successful women there is also a progressive man- a Father, brother or husband who stands by her, believes in her and champions her dreams.

    Lets cherish the moment this International Women’s day 2025 and celebrate the strength of women, the power of unity and the importance of creating a world where everyone, regardless of gender can thrive. We need to support, empower and inspire one another, for together, we can achieve greatness.

    Here’s to the women who rise, the men who stand beside them, and the collective journey toward equality and empowerment. Happy International Women’s Day.

    Let’s be reasonable and united

    Pursuit of happiness is wanted by all and sought after. Our country Nepal is facing the revolutionary changes from time to time. Either it’s in name of democracy, Federal Democratic Republic or so called federalism. From past 1 month the Terai region and some eastern region of our country is in turmoil in name of protest to get one single province for group of Terai. However, I wonder if its real wish of the general public in those region. We should be united in this situation being a Nepali rather than being discriminating as caste, region or group. Besides everything and before all we are Nepalese. The rules and regulations and constitution being passed are mostly focused on some group of people rather than general public. No one in the nation should go beyond the constitution. However, most of our nation leaders don’t seem to understand beauty and power of constitution and general public. It’s really absurd that few people who longed for power and position are blindfolded with their own selfishness and personal benefits they cannot see the problem of general public.

    They are always tempering with the future of our nation i.e. especially students. Education system is getting a lot of trouble due to ongoing strikes; people are getting trouble with the daily duties and work. It’s really intolerable when the leader doesn’t have vision and talk nonsense. Those words and promises are just instating the hatred among the group of people in our country. However, I believe that our general public will realize the real motive of this strike. For the genuine cause and for our rights we need to fight, raise our voice and show demonstration. However, we need to screen if it’s really worth for who we are sacrificing our lives.

    Our country Nepal has always been a sovereign nation. We are the living legend of mixture of various ethnic and religious group. Integrity in diversity is our best motto. We never knew to surrender our dignity in front of the external forces that would come to hamper our country. United We Stand I hope our country men will not be puppet of the one who wants to breaks unity in our country. We should always remember before belonging to any ethnic or group or political parties we are Nepalese. We love our country Nepal and we should always be one.

    I hope very soon everyone will realize this and come to the solution of the problem our country is facing. Finally I would like to recite one beautiful Nepali song  “ Nepali hami rahaula kaha nepalnai narahe”  by Natikaji.

  • Catastrophe

    Catastrophe

    Our country Nepal is in catastrophe, due to devastating earthquake that took place at 25th April and 12th May 2015. We lost our historic monuments, many people lost their houses, family and property. Infra structure of our country suffered a terrible lost. This tragedy has caused mental trauma in many of us. I feel very terrible remembering this event. It feels like we survived but till when. It’s already been weeks from first hit of earthquake I feel as we are awaiting another terrible moment to come. One question always hit my mind will this end or there is lot more to come along with suffering. Our country is now in turmoil, it may take ages to be out in normal condition. Thousands lost their life and injured, and millions became homeless. Lots of rescue and foreign aid is here to help us. Slowly all the victims are getting the relief and facility provided by the government. Many countries, individuals’ organization and celebrity have promised for financial aid however, I wonder if it is used properly in proper place. It makes me very sad to realize that our country lacks a good leader who can handle situation wisely and perfectly. This time I would just like to pray for, our country and countrymen, let us be strong and fight back this situation though it’s not an easy task to do.

    Summer

    I heard time heals the wound however deep or corrosive it may be. However, scars remains for life time. These scars are the most hurtful and haunt us a lot. Along with time we move on and let go of our past mistakes, and failures. Each and every step teaches us to deal with the situations and control our emotion. That’s why it is said that we should listen to folks not because they are correct because they have lots of experience. In life there are no shortcuts, we need to work for what we get. People often mistakes that somebody who are successful are successful because of luck. Every smiling face doesn’t mean they were never hurt or they never worked hard for what they have now. It means though they had a hard time, though they were hurt, they worked for it and they forgive, and move on. They still have a smile in their face because they put all the effort and never deceived other. I have seen that people who are jealous tend to act good in front and gossips later. Action speaks louder than words, indeed it does. Some people have tendency to just talk big while work a penny. I believe that a little bit of work than boasting, being jealous, and backbiting is worthy. We should never compete with others rather with ourselves. We should work on our weakness, we should try to do better each step we move forward. This month I am more determined to fulfill some of my dreams and never look back on those who are jealous, talk sweet, and act harsh. I am free, and I am more determined than ever; my thrust to work to fulfill my dreams. I believe I can accomplish what I have already started. I wish everyone get the power to tolerate scorching heat this summer.

    Cricket

    Cricket was never my cup of tea from my childhood days, though my brothers used to watch series of games and play near home garden. Well my perspective towards it changed recently, when I watched our national team playing ICC T20 World Cup in Bangladesh. I watched the games, to support our country and I turned out to like cricket itself. After a long time I felt so proud to see our country rising through sports. The enthusiasm, team work and victory they showed were prais-able. Even more I was overwhelmed by supports, fans cheering them in the stadium. (more…)

    Soulmates

    Soul-mates; as said are made in heaven. Respect, trust, and love comes in a package, if one is lost nothing is compromised. Crystal clear are the first confessions of love. It is so obvious that unrequited loves suffers a lot. It’s really tough job to make people we like fall in love with us. Sometime it’s vice versa. It is said marriages are made in heaven, is that so. Life takes rolls and tolls and many things happen beyond expectations. That’s what makes life interesting and challenging. Courage to take challenges, express the consistent wishes is indeed praise able. Love is beautiful feeling. We should love nature, our culture, beautiful things and everyone. Love at first sights are rare now a days, however, there are miracles. (more…)

    Happy New Year 2014

    Year 2013 was a year which added value to my life, it taught me many things about friendship, relationship, society, and how I could add value to our fellowmen. It’s been a wonderful year with all ups, and downs, happiness and tears; failures and success. I gained some while lost some. Reviewing 2013 I couldn’t stop thinking what has life stored for us, is it challenges, surprises, compassion, or visions? When life gives you a tears show it that there are thousands of reasons to smile. Smile and silence both starts with S and can avoid all the problems. Philosophy and reality are two different facets of life. We learn from our mistakes, grow from our weakness and flourish through our aspirations. However, there are some parts in life where we still find ourselves helpless. It’s a roundabout life as we live in round earth; What goes round comes around was what I heard?  I hope this New Year 2014 shall give us to jot down the memorable moments, challenges, surprises and success. May this year be filled with happiness and fun for all and give us reasons to smile and work hard for better world. Wish Everyone around the world jolly Happy New Year 2014. Make this your year to accomplish what you have started, to achieve what you have dreamed, and to pursue what your heart really desires !!!

    I was wondering if there is a thing called destiny. Well as many I do believe in it however, we have to work to make it on our own. It’s about timing, place, and luck. After all these years I believe that nothing in this world is for free, we should work for it. The more successful we want to be the more dedication, and hard work is necessary. Sincerity, honesty, and diligence are the true way to get aspirations and way toward successful and meaningful life. Success based on lies, cheating, and dishonesty is never long lasting. Meanwhile, for some it’s just a sacrifice. It’s matter of heart rather than head. Well! Its most beautiful feeling that cannot be expressed in words. Love is life and life is love. There are various kinds of love. Selfless love is the most wonderful ones, no expectations and no rules. I remember one of my friends expressing that sometime in life love is not enough to live and choose a person as a life partner. Around such young age of our life, we were keen to learn more, seek answers by questioning ourselves how, why and when?
