Early July 2011 “Pyeongchang” won the bid to conduct the Winter Olympics. It was great news for not only to Koreans but also for all Asians. Now -a -days K-pop is gaining popularity all over the world. Teenagers from Nepal are crazy about Korean music and movies. Music is god’s adorable creation. I love music and mostly all the people love it. It is said that music has no language. It’s one of the honest means in this materialistic world that touches our souls and makes us happy or sad. Some time I wonder what would happen if there were no music, how people would express their immense love, sorrow and care for each other. Korean wave concert organized by Korea Tourism organization was held in Yongpyong at Pyeongchang. It was held for 3 consecutive days (12.2-12.4) . Popular K pop bands like 2Am, U-Kiss, After School, Leader’s, BEAST, 4 minute, Kim Kyu Jong (SS501), My Name, G.NA, ZE:A, Davichi, Sistar and B1A4 gave their best performance.
I really enjoyed the SS501, G.NA and BEAST performances. I had seen some dramas and songs by Kim Kyu Jong and seeing them even closer was a wonderful. I wish all the bands and singers for their success.
Performed inside Kangwon National University, Chuncheon.
This is one of the program for sharing culture betwen different countries and schloraship was also distributed to some students.

Dashain and Tihar are two great festivals; celebrated in Nepal. Blessing, harmony, peace and fun are bestowed in these two auspicious occasions all over the country. 10 days long prayers had been already finished yesterday with the final grand ceremony where all the people celebrated great Dashami with tika, jamara and blessings from the elder.
Both the festival marks the happiness and end of the yearly harvest. People are free from all the harvesting and it’s time to celebrate their hard work and good harvest. Tihar is festival of lights, flower and fruits. It symbolizes the bond between nature, animal and characterizes the beautiful and strong bond between brothers and sisters. It is also marked as festival of brothers and sisters. I love Tihar festival more than Dashain as this is the festival where there is no practice of animal sacrifices. Lots of flowers and lights are used to decorate the houses and street all over the country. Both these festival has cultural and religious values. I can say proudly that our country is indeed rich with culture where we are taught to love and protect fauna and flora. We are taught to love and beloved. I would like to wish all the people happy Dashain and Tihar 2068. May our country be blessed with “Goddess Durga” and may peace and prosperity prevail our country and countrymen.
